National Cherry Blossom Festival
If you’re fortunate enough to be in Washington during this annual celebration, you’re in for a real treat. The National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the gift of cherry trees to the city from the government of Japan back in 1912; since then, the festival has grown into a two-week event, coinciding with the blooming of the trees and including a parade, a 10-mile run, and much more.

The H Street Festival is an annual street festival designed to showcase the unique qualities of this vibrant Washington, DC community. The event is a part of the revitalization strategy to bring attention to the developing arts and entertainment district spanning 10 blocks of H Street NE. The event takes place over one weekend, featuring more than 500 artists and performances on 14 stages plus an array of local, regional and international cuisine, shopping, arts exhibits, educational events, seminars and conversations with local entrepreneurs, artists and community organizations.
