WINE ~ FOOD ~ FUN
The 1st wine tasting at the breaklounge @Kellogg Conference Hotel was an outstanding success! We hosted over 35 guests who tasted a variety of wines which included:
2009 New Harbor Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand ~ This wine displays signature New Zealand style with gooseberry and grapefruit characters.
2008 Chalone Vineyard Pinot Noir, Monterey County ~ Fragrant heirloom roses, ripe black cherries and a touch of tobacco invite the senses into this approachable and enjoyable wine.
2008 Snap Dragon Riesling, California Monterey ~ Seductive sweet apricot aromas captivate the nose. The flavors develop radiance with ripe peach and yellow nectarine highlighted by key lime and rose petal.
2009 Crème De Lys Chardonnay, California ~ Aromas filled with lush tropical fruit, baked apple, toasty oak and crème brulee notes echoes a beautiful balance.
2009 Beaulieu Vineyard Red Blend, California ~ This wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, Barbera and Petite Sirah full of ripe slightly sweet blackberry, blueberry and raspberry liquor and highlighted by lifted oak notes.
2009 Beaulieu Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, California ~ Fresh-picked blackberries and spring cherries open the aromas, hemmed by vanilla and toast. A juicy cherry-berry core develops through the mouth, picking up cocoa and subtle spices, which are gently cupped by soft tannins that hold through the lingering finish.
